Accommodation

We're pleased to say that Drumtochty Castle has a range of guest accommodation across the estate where our guests can stay. This is available for both the night before and the night of the wedding.

If you'd like to stay at Drumtochty, please let us know when you RSVP. We'll then be in touch afterwards to confirm the details with you.

We've provided some details below of the kinds of rooms you can book from Drumtochty.

There are also options available off the estate. There are a number of cottages/lodges available on AirBnB (or whatever your favourite booking platform is!) in the countryside nearby to the Castle. Stonehaven and Brechin also have a range of accommodation. Please feel free to arrange this for yourself!

The Wings

There are three wing apartments which interconnect into the main castle. Each apartment comprises of a large living space with fully fitted kitchen/diner with comfortable bedrooms and stylish bathrooms.

The Wings sleep 22 guests in 3 flats:

The West Wing - £500 per night

Sleeps 8 - 3 double rooms and 1 twin room.

North Wing Flat 1 - £500 per night

Sleeps 6 - 3 double rooms

North Wing Flat 2 - £500 per night

Sleeps 8 - 3 double rooms and 2 single rooms.

The Lodges

The Verger’s Lodge, Main Lodge and West Lodge are three stand-alone lodges on the estate. These cosy cottages offer two or three bedrooms and are a wonderful retreat for guests. These lodges are located at the ends of both drives leading to the Castle.

The Dwelling House is a self-contained lodge attached to the stables.

The Stables

The stables are made up of one and two bedroom self-catering flats. These inviting flats consist of an open plan living space with kitchen/diner, double or twin bedrooms, and modern bathrooms. The Stables sleep 40 guests in 10 flats.

One Bed Flats - £180 per night

Sleep 4 in 1 double room and 1 sofa bed

Two Bed Flats - £280 per night

Sleep 4 in 2 double bedrooms

Questions

How many people can Drumtochty accommodate ?

In total, including the bridal party, Drumtochy can sleep 110 people! As such, there's probably accommodation for anyone who wants to stay.

Can I stay the night before?

You can indeed. We can accommodate guests the night before the wedding, the night of the wedding or on both nights. Please just let us know!

What amenities are included in the rooms?

Each room is equipped with towels, toiletries, a hair dryer as well as access to an iron and ironing board. They also have access to a fully equipped kitchen.

Is there wifi?

Yes, there's wifi across the accommodation.

Do we get breakfast?

You will - all guests will receive a breakfast pack, which includes tea, coffee, juices, bread, pastries, eggs and high-quality bacon and sausages.

Bookings

How do I book accommodation ?

We'll handle accommodation bookings for you. If you'd like to book accommodation, please let us know when you RSVP. When you do, please let us know how many people you want to book for, which nights you want to book for and if you have any preference about the kind of accommodation you'd like to stay in.

How much does the accomodation cost?

All of the prices are above and were recently updated for 2026.

How do I pay for accommodation?

We'll be charged for the accommodation by Drumtochty, and will then re-charge guests who have booked a room. We'll be in touch with everyone who's booked with bank details.

When can I book?

Please let us know when you RSVP, or before.

What time is check in and check out?

If you're staying the night before the wedding (and aren't in the wedding party!) then you can arrive from 16:00. If you're staying the night of the wedding, you can arrive from 10:00. Check-Out is at 12:00 the day following the wedding.
