Welcome to our wedding website! We're both looking forward so much to welcoming all of our closest friends and family. We can't wait to celebrate with you on June 6 2026! This website has lots of information on our wedding, the venue and anything else we could think of. Please have a look around - you'll hopefully find everything you need here!

Our Story

We're very lucky to be getting married in the beautiful St Palladius Church. We both fell in love with it the moment we saw it, and we know you will too.

We also know that you'll love Drumtochty Castle! From the gorgeous ballroom through to the stunning grounds, we knew we'd found our venue as soon as we saw it.

The Venue

Getting There

Drumtochty Castle is beautiful and in a fabulous rural setting. That does mean that that the castle is only easily accessed by car or by taxi. Public transport (the no. 26 bus) can take you as far as the village of Auchenblae - but you'd then have a two mile walk. If you'd like to travel part of the way on public transport, we'd recommend going to Stonehaven and getting a taxi from there.

Directions by Car

Sat-Nav The castle and church are both on Google Maps and other services, so you can pop them into your phone for directions. If you're using a car sat-nav, the postcode for the church is AB30 1TQ. If you prefer to use what3words, ///pampered.expensive.healthier will get you there too. Directions If you prefer old-school printed directions, we've taken (shamelessly stolen) these from the Castle's web-page - Traveling from the North: From Aberdeen take the A90 ‘Stonehaven road’ south for 24 miles. Take a right at the signpost for ‘Auchenblae’, onto ‘The Waters’ road. Follow this road for 2 miles until you arrive at the village of Auchenblae, then take a left, signposted as the ‘Cemetery’. Follow this road round and take a sharp right at the junction. Then follow the road for 3 miles until you pass St Palladius church on your right which is located next to the main entrance to Drumtochty Castle. Traveling from the South: Take the A90 ‘North’ from Perth or Dundee for 38 miles. Just north of Laurencekirk turn left sign posted ‘Auchenblae’, onto ‘The Waters’ road. Follow this road for 2 miles until you arrive at the village of Auchenblae, then take a left, signposted as the ‘Cemetery’. Follow this road round and take a sharp right at the junction. Then follow the road for 3 miles until you pass St Palladius church on your right which is located next to the main entrance to Drumtochty Castle.

Parking

At the Church There's car parking available outside of the kirkyard, at the side of the road. This is hopefully obvious, but don't drive through the gate and park by the door, or block the gate! There's also more parking off the road. Head just past the driveway up to the Castle and you'll see it on the right. If there's no space by the Church then you might need to park... At the Castle There's ample parking behind the castle. Please follow the road along and park behind the Castle. Please don't park directly in front of the Castle - there are signs indicating where to avoid. Anyone parked in front of the Castle will have their car scrapped (or asked to move if Lisa is feeling generous). If you've chosen to stay at Drumtochty (see the accommodation page!) then you'll be told where the best parking is for you. EV Charging The castle has two 7kW Pod-Point chargers available in the car park behind the castle. These are chargeable (currently 47p per kWh) and are activated using the Pod-Point app. You'll probably need to connect to the Wi-Fi before you can activate them.

Directions & Parking

We're pleased to say that Drumtochty Castle has a range of guest accommodation across the estate where our guests can stay. This is available for both the night before and the night of the wedding. If you'd like to stay at Drumtochty, please let us know when you RSVP. We'll then be in touch afterwards to confirm the details with you. We've provided some details below of the kinds of rooms you can book from Drumtochty. There are also options available off the estate. There are a number of cottages/lodges available on AirBnB (or whatever your favourite booking platform is!) in the countryside nearby to the Castle. Stonehaven and Brechin also have a range of accommodation. Please feel free to arrange this for yourself!

There are three wing apartments which interconnect into the main castle. Each apartment comprises of a large living space with fully fitted kitchen/diner with comfortable bedrooms and stylish bathrooms. The Wings sleep 22 guests in 3 flats: The West Wing - £500 per nightSleeps 8 - 3 double rooms and 1 twin room. North Wing Flat 1 - £500 per nightSleeps 6 - 3 double rooms North Wing Flat 2 - £500 per nightSleeps 8 - 3 double rooms and 2 single rooms.

The Wings 

The Verger’s Lodge, Main Lodge and West Lodge are three stand-alone lodges on the estate. These cosy cottages offer two or three bedrooms and are a wonderful retreat for guests. The Lodges 

The stables are made up of one and two bedroom self-catering flats. These inviting flats consist of an open plan living space with kitchen/diner, double or twin bedrooms, and modern bathrooms.
